VENIK MASSAGE
Venik Massage is a traditional massage offered in Russian sauna, using venik – leafy, fragrant bundles of twigs made out of birch or oak. Essential oils released from venik area said to boost the immune system and prevent skin from premature ageing. There are several Venik Massage techniques: waggling, compress, stroking, lashing and rubbing – all done with venik.
Once the massage is over, you take a plunge in the cold shower or a cold tub, or even jump in the snow!
